'This is a new call for research projects to promote the secondary analysis and deeper exploitation of existing data sources', says Dr Aoife Cahill, a Programme Manager at the HRB.

'As the name implies, the scheme is designed to promote the scondary use of existing Irish and international datasets. We would expect that findings from the research proposals will have direct relevance to policy and/or practice in the Irish health and social care system'.

The HRB will host a workshop  on Tuesday 15 January from 11.00-13.00 at the HRB offices for prospective applicants and research office representatives. This will be an opportunity to find out more about these awards.

Individuals must confirm attendance to slord(at)hrb.ie by 4 January 2018.
