Personalised Medicine in Ireland

Advancing research, supporting health system transformation, benefiting patients

Overview

The HRB National Conference 'Personalised Medicine in Ireland' was held on 30 November 2022 at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Golden Lane in Dublin.

The overall objective of this conference was to give participants a better understanding of the opportunities offered by personalised medicine for patients and the public, and to discuss the path towards implementation in Ireland's healthcare system.

This conference addressed the following aims:

  • To raise participants' awareness and understanding of what personalised medicine is, the current state of the art in research, and the possibilities it offers for health and healthcare.
  • To discuss the challenges that need to be addressed when it comes to implementing personalised medicine in practice.
  • To explore the way forward, asking how can we turn the transformative promise of personalised medicine into reality in Ireland.
