Independent programme of evaluation of the State’s investment in The Irish LongituDinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) - Main Report
This report utilises a mixed-methods approach comprising both quantitative and qualitative tools to assess the outputs, outcomes and impacts of the TILDA programme. The methods used to collect data involved desk research (including bibliometric analysis), individual and focus group qualitative interviews, an in-depth organisational case study, and narrative analysis of TILDA’s outputs in various media.
In summary, the report found that the outputs from TILDA are of a high quality and continue to provide a strong evidence base for addressing current and emerging issues associated with population ageing in Ireland across health, economic, and social systems.
