Jonathan Breckon is an independent consultant and knowledge mobiliser. Recently, he has worked in UK Parliament on rapid research synthesis for select committees, for HM Government’s Open Innovation Team in Whitehall, and the International Public Policy Observatory hosted at University College London. Previously he led the Alliance for Useful Evidence at the UK’s innovation body Nesta, championing the smarter use of evidence in social policy and practice, and has worked across the UK research and policy ecosystem, including at the Arts and Humanities Research Council, Royal Geographical Society, British Academy and Universities UK.
