Applied Partnership Awards 2019
A total of 25 applications were received in cycle 2. Eligibility check is now completed and the applications are currently under international peer-review.
Research Collaborative in Quality and Patient Safety 2019
Six full applications were reviewed by the grant selection panel in November 2019. Recommendations from this meeting will go the HRB board in early December 2019 and applicants will be notified soon afterwards.
Clinical Trial Networks (CTN) 2020 – Pre-call Announcement
Subject to HRB Board approval, this call will open for applications in mid-February 2020 with a deadline for applications in mid-May 2020. The call will focus on supporting network activities of a number of established clinical trial networks in Ireland.
New EU joint programme calls
Three new EU joint programme calls are coming up in the next six weeks. There will be links to all of these from our grants page when the calls go live. Watch this space.
European Joint Programme on Rare Diseases Joint Transnational Call 2020 (opening 13 December 2019) Topic: “Pre-clinical research to develop effective therapies for rare diseases”.
ERAPerMed Joint Transnational Call 2020 (opening December 2019) Topic: “Personalised Medicine-Pre-/Clinical Research, Big Data and ICT, implementation and user’s perspective”
JPND: European Joint Programme on Neurodegenerative Disease Joint Transnational Call 2020 (opening early January 2020) Topic: “Novel imaging and brain stimulation methods and technologies related to Neurodegenerative Diseases”.
The DIFA call opened for pre-applications on 11 November and will close on 18 December 2019 at 13:00. Following review by an International Panel in early 2020, a select number of applicants will be invited to submit a full application in March 2020.
Another opportunity has arisen for someone to join the HRB team of professionals to get experience in how funding schemes operate, managing national information systems, communications or generating evidence for policy. Call closes on 12 December.
Opportunity for undergrads to find out what research is really like and get familiar with research techniques. Students in health or social care-related disciplines get to complete short research projects during summer 2020. Closing date is 23 January 2020.
