Conference objectives
There were two main themes for the 2021 Grant Holders conference:
- HRB Strategy 2021-2025: Health research – making an impact
- Futureproofing research
Through these themes, we aimed to:
- Introduce the new five-year HRB Strategy: Health research – making an impact.
- Spotlight researcher-led, innovative solutions to various challenges to health research and research impact brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Generate networking and collaboration opportunities among the HRB-funded community.

This session drew on learnings from the COVID-19 pandemic to address various ways in which researchers can futureproof research projects and grants for unanticipated challenges or events.
