The new policy came into effect on 1 January 2020 and is availble to read and download from the HRB website.

According to Aileen Sheehy, Programme Officer – Data Policy

‘For researchers, the key principles of the policy that must be adhered to are:

  1. All data from HRB-funded projects must be made openly available unless justification can be provided as to why it can’t.
  2. Data management plans must be submitted to the HRB as specified within the terms of the Call Guidance of a funding call.
  3. This policy comes into effect for all new funding calls launched on or after 1 January 2020.

This policy aligns the Health Research Board with funder requirements from across Europe to create a more transparent and equitable research environment’.

The webinar, at 3.00 pm Thursday 13 February 2020, will go thorugh the implications of these and other revisions in more detail. It will take approximately 20 minutes.
