The HRB has commenced an independent review of the clinical research infrastructure in Ireland to inform future investment in this area.
Amárach Research has been commissioned to conduct qualitative interviews with a selection of key stakeholders working in clinical research infrastructures, universities and hospitals. These interviews will take place during July and August 2018.
The HRB is also undertaking a national census of all clinical research activity, staffing levels and, supports and services in the clinical research infrastructures under review. Surveys are currently being completed by people working in the system.
The results of these interviews and surveys will be presented in a final published report and will directly inform how the HRB invests in clinical research infrastructure in the next funding strategy.
If you are working in one of the clinical research infrastructures and have not yet received a copy of the staff survey, please email clinicalresearch@hrb.ie
We look forward to sharing the results of this work with the community and thank everyone for their contribution so far as we work together to improve clinical research infrastructures in Ireland.
