According to Dr Anne Cody, HRB,
‘The HRB will facilitate this training programme for 15 people who will become Irelans’s first professional data stewards. This will build capacity to address the evolving requirements in this space in the Higher Education system. The course will be followed up with a mentoring programme and will be jointly funded by the HRB and the host institution. We hope that the trainees will become trainers themselves in due course’.
Each host institution will have its own process for identifying participants.
The training programme is coordinated by the GO-FAIR International Support and Coordination Office (GFISCO). The training will be held in late June in Leiden, the Netherlands.
