€2 billion EU funding pot available for health research
The Health Research Board and other Irish funding agencies launched the final three-year Work Programme of Horizon 2020 today, Wednesday 18th October in University College Dublin.

Dr Mairead O’Driscoll, Interim Chief Executive at the Health Research Board, is urging health researchers to look for new opportunities available in the new Health Work Programme.
‘The final three years of the Horizon 2020 programme will have a total budget of almost €30 billion, the largest funding opportunity in the programme to date. €2 billion of this will be accessible to health researchers via to the Health Demographic Change and Wellbeing Challenge’.

The EU Commission has put draft Work Programmes online and they are available to download from the link below. The 2018 round of Horizon 2020 funding calls will open on 7 November 2017.
