The HRB/NDTRS LINK system will be updated from 6pm today.
The update adds a new question (11d) asking:
Does the service user consider themselves a person with a disability, which includes long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments?
The response options are: yes/no/not known/does not wish to answer.
This question is included in line with the National Human Rights Strategy for Disabled People 2025–2030 to ensure that people with disabilities have the opportunity to self‑identify in national health data collections. The new question will support equality monitoring, improve the relevance of health services and ensure that people with disabilities are appropriately represented in research and policy development.
