HSE West & Northwest Health Innovation Summit in partnership with the ATU (an ATU/HSE partnership)

The Health Innovation Summit 2026 brings together clinicians, managers, researchers and digital leaders from across Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Mayo, Galway and Roscommon to showcase impactful, research-informed innovation that improves patient and service user outcomes. Aligned with the HSE’s Digital for Care 2030 strategy, the summit will highlight practical examples of digital transformation, integrated care delivery, service redesign and data-driven decision-making across the West and North West region. A core aim of the event is to strengthen research capacity and ensure that service improvements are grounded in evidence, evaluation and measurable impact. From frontline quality improvement initiatives and community-based innovations to advanced analytics, virtual care and digital health platforms, the summit will demonstrate how innovation can be scaled safely and sustainably within complex health systems. Open to submissions, teams are invited to present projects that show clear outcomes in access, quality, safety, productivity and patient experience. The summit will foster collaboration, shared learning and stronger links between research, policy and practice across the region.
