Cardiovascular Risk Assessment in asymptomatic patients with Inflammatory Arthritis

People with inflammatory arthritis (IA) have an increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) compared to the general population. In this study we will examine patients with IA i.e Ankylosing Spondylitis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Psoriatic Arthritis for signs and symptoms of CVD and risk factors for same. We will perform blood tests and ask participants to fill out a questionnaire to identify patients who are at risk of CVD. By treating this cohort we aim to increase awareness of this increased risk and reduce it with medication and lifestyle changes.
