The main aim for which IPPOSI is established is to “promote optimal health for the public at large including the prevention or relief of sickness and disease, by providing a forum to inform and support the advancement of health research for the development of therapies and cures for unmet medical needs”. The following objectives are to be used to achieve the main aim: a) Advance healthrelated science, in particular medical research and the development of therapies, diagnostics and devices for unmet medical needs. b) Provide a forum for discussion for all interested parties involved in progressing health research. c) Act as an information exchange between interested parties in the field of health research. d) Seek to encourage mutual understanding between stakeholders to further health research. e) Promote equality and access in delivery of new treatments and cures. f) Promote the early development of therapies, devices and diagnostics for unmet medical needs. g) Take whatever action is required in order to expedite the development of therapies, devices and diagnostics and their delivery to the public at large. h) Not promote any sponsoring company or their product. In addition any sponsoring company will not benefit financially in the course of activities organised by IPPOSI.
