Organised by the FutureNeuro Research Ireland Centre for Translational Brain Science, our National Clinical conference focuses on the very important topic of AI in Neurology. In its sixth year, this conference brings together the all-Ireland neurology clinical network, leading Irish scientists and Irish and international experts to share knowledge and support the delivery of best clinical care and translational science in Ireland. This year’s topic has relevance to all aspects of clinical neurology, from the use of AI to improve neuropathology, AI in predictive modelling of EPR data to improve treatment outcomes, the advancement of AI for neurorehabilitation and importantly, AI literacy across the healthcare community and ethical considerations of using AI in the clinic. The topic of this year’s conference was selected by a multi-disciplinary steering committee, led by Prof. Norman Delanty, clinical neurologist Beaumont Hospital and Lead of the Digital Health theme in the FutureNeuro Centre and included consultant neurologists Prof Orla Hardiman, Prof Colin Doherty, paediatric neurologist Dr Susan Byrne and Prof of human genetics Gianpiero Cavalleri. The FutureNeuro PPI group for Data Trust and Transparency provided input on the choice of content.
