The Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA) was launched in 2022 and now includes nearly 1,000 organisations from over 40 countries, including the HRB.
CoARA members are signatories of the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment, which aims to maximise the quality and impact of research by setting a shared direction, commitments, and timelines for improving assessment practices.
As a signatory, the HRB commits to developing and publishing an action plan and to providing annual updates on progress.
