It is the responsibility of the grant holder to manage their grant in line with the application that was peer reviewed, and the approved budget agreed at contract stage.
From time to time unforeseen circumstances may require you to change some aspect of the grant e.g. deferral of a start date, change of personnel etc. It is necessary for you to request approval for all changes in advance with the HRB.
For these situations HRB has a number of grant policies and processes in place, as outlined below.
All requests for changes to your grant should be issued by email to grantchanges@hrb.ie for review.
Note: The HRB variations inbox will close from 12 October 2024 until 2 January 2025.
Grant amendment requests on grants ending before 2 March 2025 must be submitted before this deadline, 12 October 2024.
