EU4Health 2024 Funding opportunities
The European Commission has published the 2024 Work Programme of EU4Health in November 2023. With a total budget of over €750 million for the year, it will bring together a range of calls during 2024 under five main strands:
- Crisis preparedness (over €485 million in funding available)
- Health promotion & disease prevention (over €70 million in funding available)
- Health systems & healthcare workforce (over €41 million in funding available)
- Digital (over €25 million in funding available)
- Cancer (over €117 million in funding available)

Open Calls
The final wave of calls are published on 17 September 2024. This includes calls to support the following areas:
- EU4H-2024-PJ-03-1 (DP-g-24- 25): Call for proposals to Support a comprehensive, prevention-oriented approach to mental health in the Union (2M)
- EU4H-2024-PJ-03-2 (a/b/c) (DP/CR-g-24-29): Call for proposals on health promotion and prevention of noncommunicable and communicable diseases, including:
vaccine-preventable and other cancers caused by infections and smoke- and aerosol-free environments (5M) - EU4H-2024-PJ-03-3 (CR-g-24-42): Calls for proposals on radiation safety and quality of computed tomography imaging of children and young adults (3M)
- EU4H-2024-PJ-03-4 (CR-g-24-99): Calls for proposals on personalised cancer medicine (3M)
- EU4H-2024-PJ-03-5 (CR-g-24-96): Calls for proposals to support the establishment of new networks of expertise on cancer and cancer conditions (1M)
- EU4H-2024-PJ-03-6 (DI-g-24-76): Calls for proposals on advancing the adoption of artificial intelligence in health (4.5M)
- EU4H-2024-PJ-03-7 (OA-g-24-79): Call for proposals: action grants for the organisation of conference and events (450K)
