Supporting health research careers - HRB publishes research career framework action plan

21 June 2016

The HRB Strategy 2016-2020 Research. Evidence. Action commits the HRB to support exceptional researchers and leaders in health research. The practical steps that the HRB will take to achieve this are outlined in its Health Research Career Framework Action Plan

According to Graham Love, Chief Executive at the HRB,

'This document sets out the specific actions to support a structured approach to this goal and to develop a skilled workforce engaged in health research in Ireland.'

The plan will support:

  • early-stage researchers through PhD programmes
  • mid-stage researchers through the development of team-based and cross-disciplinary approaches
  • new investigators who are ready to transition to independence level
  • leaders in health research.

Further information along with a copy of the plan is available from the link below.
