Margaret is a clinician–researcher undertaking Higher Specialist Training in Public Health Medicine. She is in Year 1 of the Health Research Board-funded Irish Clinical Academic Training PhD programme, based at Trinity College Dublin and the National Health Intelligence Unit. She studied medicine at the National University of Ireland, Galway, and completed an MSc in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Her research experience spans nicotine, alcohol, and drug use, as well as vitamin D, and her PhD will focus on the impacts of heat exposure on maternal and neonatal health.
