International Women’s Day (8 March 2020) is just around the corner and the theme for 2020 is #EachforEqual. An equal world is an enabled world. Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender equal world.

The Health Research Board is giving away a €250 book voucher to one lucky person who strikes the #EachforEqual pose.

So put your arms out front and strike the pose to motivate others and to make International Women's Day on 8 March YOUR day.

Dr Caitriona Creely, HRB, who leads on the HRB's Gender Policy implementation measures notes,

‘The HRB has a firm commitment to improve the quality and relevance of research we fund, and to support everyone to realise their full potential as researchers. Collective actions have more impact and we work with partners nationally and internationally on how best to advance gender equality'.

Dr Sonam Banka, HRB, who also works on HRB Gender Policy adds,

‘International Women’s Day is a great opportunity to increase visibility of the importance of gender equality, and a reminder for us to take action for equality, so I urge people to strike the pose'.

To enter the competition, follow the instructions below:

  1. Strike the #EachforEqual pose
  2. Send us a picture of you, your family/friends, or colleagues, by the 8 March 2020, via:
