Emerging Investigator Awards for Health (EIA) 2019
14 applicants have been invited to full application stage. Following submission of full applications and peer-review process, the 14 applicants will be invited for interview on 10-11 April 2019 by an international panel. Approval of the Panel recommendations will be discussed by the HRB Board in May 2019.

Secondary Data Analysis Projects 2019
The Secondary Data Analysis Projects scheme is designed to promote the secondary analysis and deeper exploitation of existing data sources, in order to deliver high-quality, high-impact evidence for policy and/or practice. This call will open on the 7 January 2019 and the closing date is the 25 March 2019.
The HRB will host a workshop on Tuesday 15 January from 11.00-13.00 at the HRB offices for prospective applicants and research office representatives. This will be an opportunity to find out more about these awards. Individuals must confirm attendance to slord@hrb.ie by 4 January 2018.
Transnational JPND call for collaborative research in 'Personalised Medicine for Neurodegenerative Diseases'
The HRB will support participation in the annual JPND Joint Transnational Call for proposals. The 2019 call is for Multinational research projects on Personalised Medicine for Neurodegenerative Diseases.
