EU4Health 2022 work programme

The EU4Health work programme for 2022 was adopted by the Commission on the 14th Jan 2022. The programme provides funding to a level of €835M in the form of grants and public procurement.

The 2022 Work programme supports a broad range of actions under four overarching “strands” with a cross-cutting focus on cancer. These include the following:

  • crisis preparedness
  • disease prevention
  • health systems and the healthcare workforce
  • digitalisation

Open Calls:

The second wave of calls under the 2022 EU4Health work programme was launched on 22nd of Sept. There is €28million available under these four calls, with a submission deadline of 21st of February. The calls are as follows:   

  • Call for proposals to support structured dialogue at national or regional level on public procurement in the health sector – HERA (€5M)
  • Call for proposals on cancer and other NCDs prevention – action on health determinants (€11M)
  • Call for proposals on prevention of NCDs - cardiovascular diseases and diabetes (€5M)
  • Call for proposals to support the roll-out of the second cohort of the inter-speciality cancer training programme (€7M)
