Director, National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Dissemination Centre
Tara Lamont has worked for over twenty five years in health services research, audit and patient safety.
Since 2018, she has been director of the NIHR Dissemination Centre, set up five years ago to find new ways to share evidence with decision-makers in health and care. Before that, she acted as scientific advisor to an NIHR research programme focused on health services delivery and set up a new national patient safety function to deliver evidence on clinical risks to practitioners.
She is one of the editors for the NIHR Journals Library, member of the HSRUK Board and writes widely in a personal capacity on health services research topics, including recent BMJ Group blogs.
