The HRB’s overall strategy is set out in the Corporate Strategy 2007-2011. The vision described in the Corporate Strategy is to ‘Enable a world-class health system in Ireland through excellence in research and to contribute actively to the knowledge economy’.
Objectives
Over the lifetime of the strategy, the HRB’s objectives are to:
- Shape the national agenda for health research
- Support research and health information systems linked to national health priorities
- Build capacity for world-class health research in Ireland
- Contribute to a sustainable knowledge economy
- Increase awareness and understanding of the impact and the value of health research
- Establish Ireland as a significant contributor to international policy on health research
Implementation
