Health Research Board

There are two main EU health research funding programmes:

• Framework Programme 7 (FP7) Health
• Executive Agency for Health and Consumers (EAHC) Public Health Programme 2008-2013.

FP7 projects are generally large multinational initiatives which involve collaborators from several EU member states.

EAHC projects have a public health focus.

The HRB provides two national contact points (NCPs) who deal with a number of EU programmes, and who offer hands-on support and advice to researchers submitting proposals.
