European Medicines Agency - Ireland's bid for relocation to Dublin

The Department of Health is coordinating Ireland's bid to host the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

The EMA is responsible for the scientific evaluation, supervision and safety monitoring of medicines in the European Union (EU). 

The EU looks set to decide in October where to relocate the EMA. You can keep informed of Ireland's bid on Twitter and via Ireland's bid website. The links to each are below.

The interdepartmental/interagency group working on the bid include the Department of the Taoiseach, Department of Health, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Department of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation, Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Health Products Regulatory Authority, IDA Ireland, Science Foundation Ireland, and the Health Research Board.
