Grant applications - September updates

Open calls, soon-to-be-live calls and contracts in the post. A quick round up of what's going on in HRB funding calls.

Applications in progress

Applied Partnership Awards 2016 are now closed.  26 applications were received and these will now undergo international peer review.  Applicants will be informed of the outcome of the peer review process in February 2017.

Cancer Nursing Research - Project Development Grant 2016 - three applications were submitted to the scheme and the candidate interview's have been completed. The outcome will be communicated to candidates after the HRB Board meeting in October.

Cochrane Training Fellowships (CTF) 2017.  The HRB Board has approved 10 CTF for funding in 2016. Congratulations to the successful applicants. Contracts will be issued to the successful applicants in the near future.

Cancer Prevention Fellowship Programme 2016: - the call is now closed.

Applications currently open

Emerging Investigator Awards for Health – the call opened on the 19 of September. The closing date for the pre-eligibility screening is Friday 7 October. See the grant notice for more details, including a webinar about the award.

Investigator-Led Projects 2017 is currently open, deadline for applications October 13 at 1pm.

PPI Ignite Awards – this scheme, co-funded by the Irish Research Council, will allow approved HRB Host Institutions to apply for awards to promote and support Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) in research within their institution. The call will launch at the end of October 2016 and will remain open for approximately 4 months.
