From conferences to videos and new research you can take part in. We bring you highlights from the HRB funded community in relation to managing diabetes.

Improving health of young adults with Type 1 Diabetes

A conference hosted by NUI Galway on 23 June 2016 will bring together leading researchers, policy makers, health professionals and young adults living with Type 1 Diabetes. The aim is for all parties to learn more about different approaches to supporting type 1 diabetes self-management and the research going on in this area, to guide the Galway-based research group in developing an intervention to improve the health of young adults with type 1 diabetes.

A smaller group of stakeholders will attend an event on the 24th of June including an expert panel meeting and a hackathon, where a wide diversity of participants will focus on possible intervention approaches, including technology solutions, for young adults..

Calling all stakeholders involved in young adults Type 1 Diabetes management

An international research team, led by HRB Research Leader, Molly Byrne in NUI, Galway, has designed a short survey which aims to improve the quality of research in relation to young adults with type 1 diabetes. They would like input from stakeholders in young adult type 1 diabetes management, including young adults themselves, service providers, researchers and policy makers to get involved.
