- Abstract:
The Family Support Study examines the experiences, needs and support requirements of people who care for a family member with enduring mental illness in Ireland. The exploratory study found that different services are needed by families in order to cope with each stage of the illness; initial encounter, first treatment provision, discharge, relapse and rehabilitation and that there is a lack of formal supports currently available.
