Alcohol and Drugs

Alcohol and Drug research at the HRB is carried out by a multi-disciplinary team of researchers and information specialists who provide objective, reliable and comparable information on the alcohol and drug situation, its consequences and responses in Ireland.

The HRB maintains two national drug-related surveillance systems.

It is the Irish national focal point for the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA). It also manages the National Documentation Centre on Drug Use.

Drugnet Ireland is a quarterly newsletter published by the HRB which disseminates research findings, information and news on alcohol and drug related matters.
