Public and patient involvement in health research

21 June 2016

HRB publishes proposals and invites comments on its approach to develop and strengthen Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) in research in Ireland.

Graham Love, Chief Executive at the HRB commented,

'The HRB is the first funding agency in Ireland to commit in its corporate strategy to strengthen and develop PPI. We would invite both the research community and the general public to submit their comments to us and will distil and incorporate these into our approach to this issue'.

The HRB PPI Ignite call is designed to build capacity in Institutions that will help provide researchers with the support they need to involve patients and the public in their research and convey this in their grant applications.

More information and the preliminary call documents are available at the link below.
