Research integrity draft policy statement - your chance to participate

Comments are invited on a draft national Research Integrity policy statement. Submissions must be returned to research.integrity@iua.ie no later than Friday 8th March, 2013
The draft policy statement has been drawn up by the main organisations in Irish research, the Irish Universities Association, Health Research Board, Science Foundation Ireland, Royal Irish Academy, Enterprise Ireland, Higher Education Authority, the Irish Research Council, and Quality and Qualifications Ireland (previously IUQB and HETAC).
According to Dr Maura Hiney, the HRB representative on the group,
'The purpose of this statement is to drive change in how Research Integrity is viewed and managed in the Higher Education Sector and encourage Irish researchers to conduct their research to the highest standards of integrity. Formalising this commitment to research integrity will sustain and enhance confidence in the Irish research system among partners, other stakeholders and the international community.'
