This July, seven participants from Ireland and Northern Ireland will travel to Washington to participate in a four-week course on concepts, issues and applications in the field of cancer prevention (https://cpfp.cancer.gov/summer/summer.php). This prestigious programme is run by the National Cancer Institute and is part of the All Ireland Cancer Consortium activities (www.allirelandnci.org).

Irish participants of the Principles and Practice of Cancer Prevention and Control gathered in Dublin for an informal meet-up before starting their four-week course in Washington. Participants had an opportunity to meet with alumni of the course and learn from their experience of the programme and implementation of the course content.

The programme for the day is available to download here.
