Principles and Practice of Cancer Prevention - Participant Meet-Up

Irish participants of the Principles and Practice of Cancer Prevention and Control will gather in Dublin for an informal meet-up before starting their four-week course in Washington. Participants will have an opportunity to meet with alumni of the course and learn from their experience of the programme and implementation of the course content.

Location: Health Research Board, 73 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2

This July, seven participants from Ireland and Northern Ireland will travel to Washington to participate in a four-week course on concepts, issues and applications in the field of cancer prevention (cpfp.cancer.gov/summer/summer.php). This prestigious programme is run by the National Cancer Institute and is part of the All Ireland Cancer Consortium activities (www.allirelandnci.org).

Speakers will include Maeve Cusack (National Cancer Screening Service), Mary Jackson (Department of Health and Children) and Sharon Glynn (Prostate Cancer Institute).
